Adam Schlesinger Dead - Fountains of Wayne Star Dies at 52 Due to Coronavirus

Adam Schlesinger has sadly died. After news broke that the Fountains of Wayne musician was in critical condition following a coronavirus diagnosis, Adam sadly passed away on Wednesday (April 1) at 52. Adam was in an upstate New York hospital for over a week before his passing. Adam was nominated for Tonys, Grammys, Emmys and Oscars, and won many awards in his prolific career.

He picked up an Emmy for his work for Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and had 10 Emmy nominations overall. He also co-wrote the theme song for That Thing You Do!, which was nominated for an Oscar. Fountains of Wayne is best known for their Top 20 hit, “Stacy’s Mom.” Tragically, we have already lost several stars due to the COVID-19 crisis.
