The Law & Order franchise is expanding again! Deadline reports that NBC has given a series order to Law & Order: For The Defense, which will bring the focus of the law to the defense’s side and dive deep into a criminal defense firm.

The series will put the lawyers under the microscope, along with the criminal justice system, with every week delivering the promise of a contemporary morality tale.

Creator Dick Wolf shared in a statement, saying that “this new show is exciting for me personally.
