Fox is bucking the trend of franchise lineups. Fox has renewed both 9-1-1 and spinoff 9-1-1: Lone Star for new seasons. The network has ordered a fifth season of the hit first-responders procedural drama series 9-1-1 from Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear, and a third season of spinoff 9-1-1: Lone Star.  

Mónica Marie Zorrilla Fox has renewed “9-1-1” for Season 5 and its sister show “9-1-1: Lone Star” for Season 3. The “9-1-1” mothership will anchor Monday nights in the fall, while its spinoff will premiere midseason.
