Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Neil Lennon was confessing to his "worst ever" Celtic day it was another Premiership manager who paid the ultimate price for his team's failings on Saturday night.

Alex Dyer departed Rugby Park by mutual consent in the immediate aftermath of his side's 3-2 defeat to St Johnstone after Callum Davidson's side came back from two down.

That defeat leaves Kilmarnock in ninth place - only four points outside the bottom two after three consecutive defeats. If teams were awarded victories on how decent the man in the dugout was then Killie would be champions every single season.

The 55-year-old is a gentleman and a great coach but he couldn't replicate the success of Steve Clarke after taking the top job.
