Five hundred music fans gathered in the summer sunshine to enjoy the country’s first socially distanced concert at the Iveagh Gardens.

The crowds had come to see James Vince McMorrow who was supported by Sorcha Richardson for the remarkable event. The first open-air concert was like nothing we have seen before as the crowds were made to stay in their own pods separated off by ropes.

Ticket holders were asked to arrive at the event at different times to stop any chance of crowds rubbing shoulders. There was no alcohol on sale at the gig but perhaps as compensation, there was an ice cream and crepe fan.

Fans could only take off their masks when they were safely in their pod positions which allowed for four people to be together.
