An Ayr young farmer went the distance on a bitterly cold Christmas Eve to coin it in for two charities close to her heart.Shona McHarg hopes to reap the rewards for the agricultural community — hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic.The 24-year-old who is admin assistant at agricultural merchant RH Goldie and mucks in on her parents farm also wants to see funds raised ploughed into a life-saving hospital unit which has cared for her uncle for three years.Shona took on a half-marathon in the hope of raising cash to go towards both Ayr Young Farmers and The Renal Unit at Ayr Hospital.Shona, whose parents run Broadhead farm outside Auchincruive, took to the streets for just over 13 miles with three supportive friends on December 24.The route
