Work begins on revamping Cleland Primary School's playground

Pupils at Cleland Primary School are set to have a great new place to have fun at breaktimes after work to transform the playground got underway.It follows on from a recent £1 million extension at the school which included new dining facilities and classroom.As work began, pupils were joined at the school by the area’s four local councillors - Louise Roarty, Cameron McManus, Nicky Shevlin and Robert John McKendrick - to see for themselves what work is being done.The school’s headteacher Jan Barclay said: “Our pupils are so excited about this news and can’t wait for it to be ready.”The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
