Police were called to Warrington Road in Abram shortly after 7.30am following reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian. "A woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries," a statement from Greater Manchester Police said. The stretch of road between the Bucks Head pub and Kingsdown Road in Abram has been closed following reports of the incident.
