Wigan man banned from going into parts of Lancashire for hunting rabbits with dogs

For the latest news from in and around Wigan sign up to the MyWigan newsletter here A dog owner has been banned from vast areas of Lancashire and Merseyside after he was sentenced for offences including animal poaching and hunting wild animals with dogs.

Daniel Ratchford, 36, was made the subject of a court order last Friday (May 21). It will last five years. It means he is excluded from entering large parts of and in the West Lancashire and Sefton districts.

This includes all rural areas between Ormskirk and the Sefton coast, between Ormskirk and Crosby, Maghull, Kirkby and between Wigan and Lancashire around the Douglas Valley, LancsLive reports.
