The club was delighted last week when the independent Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) announced that it had cleared City of the governing body’s allegatons that they had breached financial fair play rules.
That initial decision saw the Blues handed a two-year ban from European competition, and given a 30million euros fine for obstructing the investigation.
