Eight people have died after coronavirus outbreak in Bury care home

fifth highest number of coronavirus deaths in England in June, with a death toll of eight. No other neighbourhood in the Greater Manchester region had more than five deaths during that month.

But that death toll can now been confirmed to be a result of the tragic outbreak within the care home and not an infection among the wider community.

A spokesperson for Advinia Healthcare - the company that runs Burrswood - told the Manchester Evening News : "We regret to advise that during the month of June eight residents from Burrswood Care Home passed away after testing positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
