After years of stirring the pot in terms of his political opinions, Kanye West announced on July 4 that he's running for president this year.

Even though the announcement seems legit, there is still a lot to be done if West actually wants to appear on November's ballot.

According to CNN, Ye has yet to register with the Federal Election Commission, present a campaign platform and collect the amount of signatures needed to get on the ballot, among other steps.

If Kanye were to actually go through with the qualifications to run in the presidential race, the rapper would have to pick a running mate.
