Netflix’s new true crime documentary Bad Vegan follows the story of Sarma Melngailis - the former owner and co-founder of vegan raw food restaurants Pure Food and Wine and One Lucky Duck.
Both businesses closed in 2015 and Melngailis was arrested for fraud in 2016 and convicted in 2017. Bad Vegan landed on Netflix today (March 16).
The series is made up of four episodes and created by the Tiger King producer and Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened director Chris Smith.
