straight to your inboxManchester United coaches have been left very impressed by Teden Mengi following his breakthrough into the first-team frame.The young Manchester-born defender only started training with the club's U23 set-up a year ago but quickly adapted to his new surroundings before establishing himself as a key player for Neil Wood's reserve side.After a number of mature performances Mengi got his first call-up to senior duty last November when he was an unused substitute in United's away defeat by Astana in the Europa League.Mengi watched on from the bench as fellow youngsters Di'Shon Bernard and Axel Tuanzebe started the loss in Kazakhstan, but nine months later the 18-year-old finally got his chance to shine.Under-18s captain.
