A review into the 'red' list of countries is expected to be announced later today (Thursday), which could see countries removed or added based on the coronavirus risk they pose.
There have already been huge changes to the travel system coming into force this week. From Monday, the traffic light system was streamlined into a single red list, with green and amber being scrapped.
Then, on Wednesday, the government revealed that travel advice was lifted from 32 ‘no go’ destinations, which were not on the red list but the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) still advised against all but essential travel due to Covid risks.
