Solskjaer was relieved of his duties as United boss after a poor run of performances and results, with the 4-1 defeat to Watford the last straw for the United hierarchy as the 48-year-old was sacked the following day, putting an end to his almost three-year spell at the helm at Old Trafford.
The Norwegian manager had overseen one of United's worst spells in recent history - the standout loss being the 5-0 home defeat to Liverpool, the result which ultimately put pressure on the safety of Solskjaer's position.
