Having taken charge of more than 650 matches during his career, not many Premier League managers will be able to boast the same level as experience as soon-to-be interim Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick.
The 63-year-old German, the Manchester Evening News understands, has agreed to become United boss on a deal until the end of the season.
Rangnick had initially turned down a contract offer from the Old Trafford club, but changed his mind after receiving new and improved terms after flying to Manchester for talks.
United had hoped to be able to lure Paris Saint-Germain head coach Mauricio Pochettino to the club mid-season, but saw their first move for the former Tottenham Hotspur boss knocked back, meaning they were forced to stick
