Belgium appear to be softening their stance on ending the Pro League early, after crisis talks with UEFA president Alexsander Ceferin.

The writing was on the wall for Scottish clubs even before UEFA boxed the SPFL into a corner with a threatening letter that failing to complete this campaign could jeopardise next season’s European places.

Club Brugge have been declared as champions of the Belgian Pro League after it was decided to end the season as it stands due to the coronavirus crisis.
