Two due in court after drugs worth almost £30,000 seized in Scots town
dailyrecord.co.ukTwo people have been arrested following an early morning drugs raid in Angus on Thursday. Around 7.15am, police entered a house in Clova Road, Kirriemuir and recovered a quantity of Etizolam tablets.
The drugs, commonly known as 'street Valium', have an estimated street value of more than £28,000. A quantity of cash was also seized in the operation, officers said.
A man aged, 28 and a woman, aged 24, have been arrested and charged in connection with the seizure. Both are due to appear at Forfar Sheriff Court on Friday July 8, with a report to be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
Detective Inspector Scott Carswell said: “This operation has resulted in harmful drugs being removed from our streets.
