Health officials today confirmed the cases were found in north Wales. They are now 'monitoring' the cases, which have both been imported and acquired overseas, WalesOnline reports.
Both cases are members of the same households and they have both been admitted to a hospital in England, where one remains. Monkeypox is a rare disease caused by infection with the monkeypox virus.
Most cases have been identified on the continent of Africa and catching monkeypox in the UK is said to be extremely unlikely.
