Farakh Akhtar, 23, was travelling as a passenger in a car which crashed into the Black Friar Pub in the early hours of Sunday, 18 July.
Heroic police officers rescued two men from the vehicle, which caught fire, but the passenger, Mr Akhtar, died a short time later.
