Applauding well-wishers lined the streets during their exercise hour last week as the hearse carrying a beloved Castlemilk dad, grandpa and “great friend,” who tragically lost his life to COVID-19 passed by.
It was a fitting tribute to Douglas (Dougie) Chambers, who was among five family members and friends – including his youngest daughter, Wendy Russell – who contracted the deadly coronavirus at her 40th birthday party last month.
