A tot battling a brain tumour is set to have her ovaries frozen at the age of just 17 months in the hope she can have children of her own one day.

Tallulah Cox could be left infertile following an operation as part of her cancer treatment at The Christie next month. The toddler will be the youngest in the UK to have the procedure, which comes just two months after being diagnosed with an incredibly rare tumour.

Following a whirlwind of doctors’ appointments, diagnoses and an op to remove the tumour itself, Tallulah now needs an aggressive form of chemotherapy, which risks damaging her ovaries.

Doctors are set to freeze sections from one ovary so she has the potential to start a family in her later years.
