Zoe, who does not have children of her own, wrote about how her mother Marilyn’s unsuccessful attempts to take her own life affected her.

In an article for The Sun, the star wrote: "I was barely 16 when I stood before my mum, pleading and crying, before going to school. "I was begging her to choose me instead of alcohol.
