Bolton was not 'taken lightly'. New measures were brought in on Tuesday after the infection rate in the borough reached 120 cases per 100,000 - making it the highest rate in the country.

The government has ordered a number of restrictions to be reintroduced, mostly affecting the hospitality sector.
