According to The Hollywood Reporter, the first episode of the revived series features topics of sex and cheating, which could be why Hilary Duff called for the revival to move platform.
The show’s creator Terri Minsky recently left the project, with fans speculating that her alleged plans for Lizzie likely didn’t go over well with the higher-ups at Disney.
If the content rumours are true, this echoes comments from Lizzie herself when Hilary urged Disney to move the revived series to Hulu in an Instagram post: ‘Was incredibly excited to launch ‘Lizzie’ on D+ and my passion remains!
