As parts of the region have seen infection rates rise in recent weeks, some neighbourhoods in Bolton have had next to no confirmed coronavirus cases.A heatmap of the borough shows that last week there were three or more positive Covid-19 tests in Central Bolton, Astley Bridge and Rumworth.Little Lever had the most, with six cases in the week leading up to August 21.But in parts of Horwich, Westhoughton and Farnworth, there have been hardly any confirmed cases recorded for months.Over Hulton appears to have had no cases since May, according to the latest government data which only shows areas with three or more cases in a week.Hulton councillor Diane Parkinson said the area's low infection rate could be due to the high proportion of elderly.
