BBC favourite Strictly Come Dancing will feature first all-female couple this year, according to a Strictly production source.
Bosses of the BBC show, which sees celebrities testing out their dancing skills with professionals, reportedly plan on securing a high-profile lesbian or bisexual celebrity to make up the pairing.The source said: “Obviously ‘diversity’ is the key word in television today and, of course, Strictly wants to be progressive.The plan is to have a same-sex couple, and two women.” Dancing On Ice featured a same-sex couple in their 2019 series, with Ian 'H' Watkins and Matt Evers taking to the ice, but the Strictly production are understood to have said they’d like to “offer something different” in order to “keep bushing.
