Meghan Markle
Meghan, Duchess of Sussex (born Rachel Meghan Markle; August 4, 1981) is an American member of the British royal family and former actress.
Markle was raised in Los Angeles, California and has a mixed ethnic heritage. During her studies at Northwestern University, she began playing small roles in television series and films. From 2011 to 2017, she played Rachel Zane on the American legal drama Suits. She is an outspoken feminist and has addressed issues of gender inequality, and her lifestyle website The Tig featured a column profiling influential women. She represented international charity organizations and received recognition for her fashion and style, releasing a line of clothing in 2016.

dailyrecord.co.ukGet the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox with our daily newsletter.Projects to improve road safety in South Lanarkshire are set to cost more than £1.5m in 2020/21.And Strathaven is at the heart of several of those.Across the region, 15 accident prone roads are being targeted for improvements while six sets of traffic signals are in the process of being replaced or upgraded.In total, £1.53m will be spent on roads infrastructure in a bid to improve safety for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians alike.Following a route action improvement assessment of all A and B roads in the region, 33 were found to have a higher rate of accidents than the national average.Of those, seven are set to have improvement works done this.
