Jim Goodwin revealed his relief that defender Richard Tait looks to have not suffered any serious repercussions from his clash with Killie keeper Danny Rogers.

The St Mirren full-back was forced off in the first half after the goalie clattered into him while clearing a cross, with the 31-year-old requiring lengthy treatment on the frosty pitch.

Goodwin believes the former Motherwell man recovered well but insists the club will follow every rule to ensure it’s safe for him to return to action.

He said: “Richard took a sore one and he will have a slight concussion I would imagine.“We will manage that over the next few days and follow the correct protocol.
