In a Facebook post, one gardener said that she picked up two bunches of low-cost carnations from Aldi and uses a little known technique to grow more flowers from the cut stems.
In a process called propagation, some cut flowers can be rooted in water and then planted into soil and regrown which means an endless supply of flowers for anyone who tries.
