Singer Sinéad O’Connor has vowed to never do another interview on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour after she described her treatment by the show’s female presenter as being ‘extremely offensive and even misogynistic’.

The Nothing Compares To You singer is promoting her new book Rememberings but says she was ‘less than impressed’ with the nature of the questions during the interview and said it was ‘one invalidating question or statement after another’.

Taking to Twitter Sinéad vowed: ‘I will absolutely never do Women’s Hour again’. The row with the show’s presenter Emma Barnett erupted after she asked Sinead what she thought of The Telegraph’s music critic Neil McCormick, 60, description of her as ‘the crazy lady in pop’s attic’.
