Shaun White Will Retire From Competitive Snowboarding After Beijing Olympics

The American athlete has earned three Olympic gold medals — at the 2006, 2010 and 2018 Games. This year’s Winter Olympics in Beijing marks his fifth Olympic appearance competing for Team U.S.A.

In addition to his Olympic achievements, White has earned 15 gold medals at the X-Games — 13 in snowboarding and two as a skateboarder.
