Shakira may face trial in Spain after prosecutors claimed she avoided paying £13million in tax in the years 2012, 2013 and 2014.The 44 year old Colombian singer, real name Isabel Mebarak Ripoll, has been accused of six offences, which could result in the hitmaker serving jail time if convicted.

Shakira changed residences in 2015 from the Bahamas to Barcelona, where she lives with her partner, footballer Gerard Piqué, 34, and their two sons, Milan, eight, and Sasha, six.

While the singer said that she lived in the Bahamas for several years before then, was not a resident of Spain and only visited the country "sporadically", prosecutors claim she did actually live in the Catalan capital during those years.
