Glasgow council firm which runs the city’s entertainment venues have been awarded nearly £200,000 in bonuses.Top of the payment league for SEC Ltd was chief executive Peter Duthie, whose £266,807 remuneration included a £36,972 bonus.News of the bonuses came after it emerged that hundreds of staff based at the SEC could be made redundant.Glasgow Labour councillor Martin McElroy said: “At the same time as the council could cut funding to five citizens advice bureaux, we learn that the SEC have awarded extravagant bonuses to senior figures.“Now more than ever, there is no justification for fat cat-style bonuses and they should not be paid.”Get all the top Scottish politics news sent straight to your Inbox by signing up to our Politics.
