Designs have been released to show potential images of homes, which will replace the three tower blocks at Riverside Place.

There will be 90 one and two bedroom council  flats available for older people. Images published as part of a South Ayrshire Council consultation show the two buildings will be five storeys high.

The council said it wants to “create a modern housing development that is a nice place for people to live” and "homes that work well for the people who live in them.” It also said it aims to “improve an already thriving community.”A planning application is due to be submitted at a later date for the development to take the place of the current high rises.
