Hamilton’s animal rescue centre is feeling the effects of coronavirus and desperately needs donations for the animals in its care.The Scottish SPCA were forced to close their Bothwell Road base last week to protect staff and visitors from the spread of the disease.This means rehoming has had to cease during this time.Now the effect of not having any visits from the public is being felt, with their usual donations now in short supply.Centre manager Gillian Boyle said; “This is a very difficult time for us.
Our team is working incredibly hard to continue to provide the animals with the care they need and to maintain their routine.“Our helpline is still operating and our rescue officers and inspectors are still on the ground rescuing injured
