A Scots mum who is today being forced to travel 2000 miles during lockdown to return her baby son to Malta has begged the authorities, “Please help us.”Leigha Collins, 18, is due to leave Scotland with her one-year-old son Hayes after a court ordered her to take him back to the Mediterranean island where he was born following legal action from his father - who she has accused of assault.Fearing her son will be taken from her, the “petrified” mum last night left her home in Kinghorn, Fife, to travel to London Heathrow for a flight which will see her separated indefinitely from her other son, Alfie, and living alone in Malta while the court battle continues.In a last ditch plea for intervention from the Scottish authorities, the mum said:
