A Scots bagpiper has lifted the spirits of people in his local community during the coronavirus lockdown.Tommy McClellan has been taking to the streets of Broxburn and Uphall in West Lothian to play a range of different tunes on the traditional Scottish instrument for the past few weeks.The 57-year-old, who goes by the name of Tam Tam the Piping Bam, has been wowing residents across the town - with some even offering him gifts in return.His idea first came about during a routine visit to his local health centre just a week before the announcement of strict social distancing measures across the country.Former University of Edinburgh senior lecturer Tommy felt compelled to pay tribute to healthcare staff who have been working on the frontline
