A Scots dad is getting a tattoo of a cafe owner's face in exchange for free Irn Bru pies for life. Derek Marr, 34, will be inked with the logo for cafe chain Nettie's; a woman's face.

The woman in question is his friend's mother, Lynette Shields. The 42-year-old business owner from Tranent, East Lothian, ran a competition to gauge if any locals would be willing to be inked with the logo to scoop one Nette's pie a day for the rest their life.

Dad-of-four Derek, who also hails from Tranent, came out on top and is gearing up for his free tattoo this Saturday. With plenty of wacky pies to choose form, including chicken and haggis cooked in an Irn Bru sauce, rugby player Derek won't be short on variety.

Lynnette, a mum-of-three and grandmother-of-one, told Edinburgh Live : “I noticed the other month that someone had got the Greggs logo tattooed onto themselves and they gave them free sausage rolls or something for life and it got me thinking. “This was around October or November time and I jokingly just put up a post on social media saying I would give away free pies if someone got our logo.“We didn’t expect it but there was loads of local interest so we narrowed it down to just three guys and decided to run a wee competition and see which of the three of them could get the most likes and shares from their posts.“The winner then got free pies for life.
