evoke.ieRyan Tubridy has admitted that he made a bit of a boo-boo in the RTÉ studios this week. Chatting on his RTÉ 1 radio show on Thursday morning, he revealed that he went ‘bright red’ when speaking with a colleague.
Laughing at his own expense, he told his listeners: ‘I made one of the most schoolboy errors ever this morning.’ What was that ‘schoolboy’ error you may ask?
Well, he called his colleague ‘mam’ while chatting ahead of his daily radio show. ‘I was sitting at my desk, and they were talking about festive toilet paper.
And I wanted to intervene in the conversation, to my colleague and friend for the last 20 years,’ he explained. ‘And I said: “Mam, can I ask you…?” I said: “Oh my God, I can’t believe it.” I know.
