Road closed and major emergency service response to Chorley farm blaze

Crews from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service rushed to the scene of the blaze on Preston Road at around 4am this morning (Tuesday).

No injuries have been reported but members of the public have been advised to stay away from the area. Six firefighting crews from five different stations were called to the blaze which started in an outbuilding and is thought to have been around 20x40m in size when they first arrived.

The fire was brought under control by 6.30am although firefighters remained in the area to damp down the building until 7am.
