UEFA chief Aleksander Ceferin admits this season's European competitions could be scrapped. Rangers' Europa League last 16 clash with Bayer Leverkusen has been left in limbo by the coronavirus-enforced shutdown.
The Bundesliga side triumphed 3-1 at Ibrox in the first leg but the tournament has now been postponed indefinitely. The Champions League has also been put on hold and Ceferin concedes play may not resume if restrictions on sporting events remain until September. "We can't play it out in September or October," Ceferin told ZDF Sportstudio.And when asked directly if the competitions could be abandoned, he admitted: “If the authorities do not allow us to play, then we cannot play."The finals of both competitions were initially
