Rangers slam policing at Celtic Park after 'bottle attacks' as club set to report alleged 'hate crimes'

Rangers have stated they were "disappointed" with the response from Police Scotland after incidents in the stand following the game with Celtic.

Jota had given Celtic the lead at Celtic Park in the final derby game of the season, before Fashion Sakala levelled in the second half.

Around 800 Rangers fans watched the 1-1 draw at Parkhead.Following the full-time whistle, ugly scenes saw supporters come together in the stands with video footage showing objects were thrown.Rangers plan to take the flashpoint further following with PolIce Scotland and Celtic and insist there were "injuries to elderly and disabled supporters." The club also plan to report evidence of "possible hate crimes" to the authorities.In a statement released to the Herald, an Ibrox spokesman said: “We are disappointed with the Police response after the Old Firm at Parkhead today."Our support was left unprotected as they were attacked by bottles and other missiles."Reports so far include injuries to elderly and disabled supporters.

Furthermore, we are collating evidence of possible hate crimes which will be reported to Police Scotland as a matter of urgency."We intend to raise our concerns with Police Scotland and Celtic during the debrief.”Celtic and Police Scotland have been approached for comment.
