Europa League play off tie against Alashkert. The current forecast is for the thermometer to nudge 36º Celsius when Steven Gerrard’s side kick off at 7pm local time in the country’s capital Yerevan on Thursday.

Humidity will also be a factor but luckily for Gers they have a bit of breathing space thanks to Alfredo Morelos bailing out red card sinner John Lundstram with he Colombian netting the only goal in the first leg. That strike could prove crucial given the furnace-like conditions Gerrard’s men are due to face in Western Asia.
