pocket.” Noon was taken to Govan police station where he was cautioned and charged.He appeared in the dock where he pleaded guilty to possession of a knife in a public place without reasonable excuse or lawful authority.Defence agent Terry Gallanagh told the court his client was admitting a “technical breach” of the legislation.He said: “He works full time and uses the knife in the course of his employment.“He wasn’t going to or returning from work at the time it was in his possession.“The reason he is appearing on indictment is that he has an analogous conviction from 10 years ago.“He works fixing railways surrounding curtilage and the knife was used for opening packaging.”Mr Gallanagh added Noon’s employers had written to the court.
