Get the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox with our daily newsletter.Two ambitious projects set to encourage people to walk and cycle more in Balloch and Dumbarton have received almost £100,000 in funding.Balloch Station Square received £46,000 to improve the space in front of Balloch railway station and £50,000 was awarded to Dumbarton Connectivity project to improve links between Dumbarton Central Station, the town centre and the waterfront.Funding comes from the Scottish Government through Sustrans’ Places for Everyone programme, which aims to create infrastructure that makes it easier for people to walk and cycle for everyday journeys.It’s hoped the improvements will encourage people to walk or cycle more, with only.
