Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are showing their support for the people of Ukraine.
On Friday (March 18), the couple’s Archewell Foundation announced that the Duke and Duchess had donated to a number of organizations working to provide aid, including World Central Kitchen, HIAS (Helping Ukrainian Families Settle), The HALO Trust, and the World Health Organization. Click inside to read more… The pair also said that they would be working to combat online disinformation and propaganda through a coalition of Ukrainian media, such as the organization Are We Europe and The Kyiv Independent. “All of us at Archewell have been inspired by the work these organizations have taken on – and also by the stories from those on the frontlines,” Harry and Meghan said in a statement on the foundation’s website.
They added that they would be sharing more information about the stories from Ukraine “in the case that you will be moved to take action.” “If you are able, we hope you will support or amplify their efforts,” the statement read. Meghan and Harry also honored Invictus Games athlete Serhii Karaivan, who was killed on March 13 while fighting against Russian forces. “Our hearts are heavy as we acknowledge the recent loss of a member of our veteran community in Ukraine, who was defending his country from attack,” they said in their post. “We also pay tribute to the brave men and women from our global veteran community, past and present, who have long protected their countries and families with unparalleled strength and determination,” the couple continued. “We are continuing to work and speak with the Invictus Games Foundation daily to help however we can.” Harry and Meghan also released a statement regarding the invasion back in
