Police outside closed Pennington Flash country park criticise those ignoring lockdown guidance

Police stationed outside a closed country park have taken to social media to lambaste people who are flouting government advice, by travelling from afar for 'exercise'.

Pennington Flash in Leigh is currently closed to visitors and cones have been positioned at the entrance to stop cars. A police car is also parked outside to question passers-by and ask them if it is necessary for them to be out of the house.

The Greater Manchester Police team for Leigh, Atherton and Hindley posted a rant on Facebook detailing examples of people who seem to be ignoring the current guidelines.
