On Saturday (July 10), Oldham Athletic won a club friendly match against Ashton United at their home ground in Hurst Cross. Oldham Athletic, managed by ex-England international Keith Curle, took the lead just four minutes into the game after an own goal by Ashton’s Harry Spratt.
